Welcome

Nice to have you here!

I’m Katharina Ameli and I work as a coach (DGfC) and advisor on private and professional topics of personal development, like animal-assisted-services, work-life balance, giftedness and mindfulness.

Coaching is often useful when…

… you want clarity or need to make a decision

… you would like to (re)orient yourself privately or professionally

… you want to change or reflect on patterns of thought and action

… you want to redefine your (private or professional) roles and goals

… you want to develop (new) ways of acting

Especially in crises or stressful situations, coaching can give new perspectives. Coaching explicitly does not pursue a therapeutic approach. Rather, it is a goal- and solution-oriented way of making perspectives, personal resources, possibilities, potentials and needs visible.

My services are aimed at private individuals and teams. A particular focus of my work is on coaching students, scholars, (veterinary) medical professionals and parents (of gifted children).

I look forward to hearing from you!

Yours Katharina Ameli

My offers

Coaching

As a systemic coach, my aim is to open up new perspectives and opportunities for action with the help of solution-focused and resource-oriented methods and techniques.

My services are aimed at individuals and teams.

Counseling (for giftedness)

Sometimes challenging situations or times of crisis require an outside perspective. As part of my work and building on my professional expertise, I offer support in solving challenges at work and in everyday life.

One focus lies on (highly) gifted children.

Talks and Workshops

I offer (short) talks, seminars and workshops on various topics. All presentations are tailored to you, your event, your employees and your institution.

I offer lectures and workshops in person and as online events.

Walk and Talk

Some people find it easier to relax, open up and organize their thoughts through movement. For this purpose, I offer a Walk and Talk in which I also integrate nature-based coaching elements as required. I am happy to offer the Walk and Talk around my practice, in the Giessen area or around the Aartalsee in 35644 Hohenahr.

Walk and Talk is also particularly suitable for moms with small children. You are welcome to discuss relevant aspects of being a mother during a Walk and Talk.

My philosophy

It is very important to me to show dignity, openness, warmth and attentiveness to everyone I work with. Acceptance of every person, regardless of their background, world view or status, is central to my work.

Looking at people and situations individually from different perspectives and taking into account one’s own resources makes it possible to find solutions, make decisions and shape one’s own life.

My professionalism is characterized by a responsible approach to people and animals. In my work, I attach great importance to creating a space that enables you to develop strategies for your challenge(s) that are close to everyday life and can be implemented realistically.

My diverse qualifications and many years of experience in various projects in research, teaching, science management, veterinary practice and in the context of animal-assisted services provide a starting point for designing holistic coaching with you.

As a coach (DGfC), I accompany my coachees on their very own path in a resource-oriented, perspective-expanding and appreciative manner.

About me

I’m passionate about the diversity and complexity of relationships and issues. In addition to my (over 15 years) full-time work in research, teaching and science management at a university, I also work as a consultant, lecturer and systemic coach.

I grew up in a working-class family in an idyllic rural village environment.  After many years working in a veterinary practice for small animals and horses, I decided to study ecotrophology (B.Sc.) with a focus on household and service sciences (M.Sc.). At the same time, I studied to become a teacher for vocational schools, specializing in nutrition, home economics and biology (1st state examination). Following my interdisciplinary aspirations, I then moved into sociology. Here I did my doctorate on the subject of the relationship between humans and animals.

I am a happily married “working mom” whose family consists of wonderful people and animals (a dog and a horse).
